BOWLING GREEN, KY - James E. Harman, 87 of Smiths Grove, KY, passed peacefully with family and friends at his side on September 4, 2012 at his residence.
The Barren County native was a son of the late Jim Harman and Lois Beckham Harman. He was retired from Holly Automotive, a farmer and a WWII Army Veteran.
He was preceded in death by his wife Irene Beckham Harman, a daughter, Patricia Harman and a sister, Hazel Magers.
Survivors include his daughter, Jeanetta Conner and her husband Larry; two grandchildren, Michelle Williamson and husband Gary and Tina James and husband Jeff; five grandchildren; Patricia Conner (Jay), Austin Hill (Taylor); Noah, Hayley, Kayla Fowler; one brother, Aubrey Harman and wife Jean; three sisters, Odell Grinstead, Fannie Wood, and Dorthey Wood; several nieces and nephews
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Bowling Green Chapel with burial in Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00-8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
