PADUCAH, KY - June Ransom Spees, 79, of Lone Oak, KY passed away at 2:22 p.m. Tuesday, September 11, 20122 at Lourdes Hospital.
She had worked for the Hendron Water District. She was a member of the Woodlawn Cumberland Presbyterian Church and the Cumberland Pioneers. She was the Secretary for the West Kentucky Crime Stoppers, charter member of the Paducah Ambassador’s, and was a member of the Concord Homemakers.
She is survived by her sons, Phil Spees and wife Therese, Stan Spees and wife Cindy, and Greg Spees and wife Robbie all of Paducah, KY; five grandchildren, Andrea Poat and husband, Charley, Corey Spees, Robert Spees, Janet Spees, and Monica Spees and two great grandchildren, Kailey Poat and Colin Poat.
She was preceded in death by her husband, V.E. “Gene” Spees. Her parents were Samuel Wilbur Ransom and Mary Tyler Ransom.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 16, 2012 at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner and Orr Funeral Home with the Rev. David Fackler officiating. Burial will follow in the Maplelawn Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Saturday, September 15, 2012 at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner and Orr Funeral Home.
