BOWLING GREEN, KY - Daniel Thomas Forney, 66, of Bowling Green, passed away at 3:15 a.m. on Wednesday September 19, 2012 at his residence.
The Sonoma County, CA. native was born on November 20, 1945 to the late Kenneth and Virginia Forney and work for the Dept. of Interior U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service as an Environmental Specialist, he served in the U.S. Army and received the Purple Heart Medal, The Bronze Star Medal and the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal while serving in Korean and Vietnam wars. Mr. Forney also belonged to the American Legion the V.F.W. and the Masonic Lodge.
Survivor’s include, three daughters; Sandy Bray, Kristie Fowler (Jason) Dawn Durbin (Kevin) all of Bowling Green, one son; Hans Forney (Shanie) of Petaluma, CA., six grandchildren; Maj. Jason Bray (Laura), Jeremy Bray (Amber), Stephen Bray (Sophy), Dalton and Dallas Fowler, Kellie Durbin, five great grandchildren; Susan and Sarah Bray, Mallory Bray, Joshua and Maggie Fowler all of Bowling Green, one brother; Butch Pendleton, one sister; Sandie Galindo both of Petaluma, and longtime friend; Larry Cotton (Deb) of Bowling Green.
There will be a Memorial Service on Saturday, September 22, 2012 from 1-4 p.m. at the Southside Baptist Church on Memphis Junction Rd. in Bowling Green.
J.C. Kirby and Son Lovers Lane Chapel is in Charge of arrangements.
