HENDERSON, KY - Omer Lee Woodard, 80 passed away 2:45 PM Sunday October 7, 2012 at Lucy Smith King Care Center.

He was born in Henderson, KY January 27, 1932 to Willis and Bertha ( Gibson) Woodard. He was the owner of the Horsemen’s Café at Ellis Park and he was a Kentucky Colonel.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Marie Woodard.

He is survived by his son Perry Woodard and his wife Elsie of Robards; One brother: Herman Woodard of Henderson; Nieces and nephews.

Services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel. Burial will be in Corydon Cemetery. Pastor A. G. Winters will officiate.

Friends may call from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM Tuesday and Wednesday 9:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Bobby Mays, George Irvin Brinkley, Doyle Woodard, Don Woodard, Don Trent and Mike Bruder.

Memorial contributions to St. Anthony's Hospice.
