MURRAY, KY - Franklin Herbert Dibble age 86, of Murray, KY, passed away Sunday, October 28, 2012 at his home.
Mr. Dibble was born in Bangor, MI on January 24, 1926 to the late Ralph Nelson and Beatrice S. Cole Dibble. Mr. Dibble worked thirty plus years as a waterfowl biologist and retired as the Chief Waterfowl Biologist for the State of KY. Mr. Dibble was an Army Air Corp. Veteran of WWII and was a member of the First Christian Church.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Dibble was preceded in death by his wife, Edith May Whitman Dibble, who passed away on February 22, 2011.
Mr. Dibble is survived by two daughters, Debbie Dibble Diers and husband Robert of Hendersonville, TN and Linda Dibble Haskins and husband Jack of Paducah, KY; two sons, Ralph Ray Dibble and wife Robin of Greenville, IN and Cliff Keith Dibble of Murray; twelve grandchildren, Kelly Haskins Hack, Amy Haskins Crowe, Billy Jack Haskins, Clint Diers, Lorenz Scott Diers, Matt Dibble, Sandy Dibble Kuntz, Christina Dibble Cash, Regan Bartley, Joeb Bartley, Luke Dibble and Kelly Morgan Dibble; as well as twelve great grandchildren, Anna Hack, Ellie Hack, Jake Cowles, Stone Crowe, Abe Haskins, Henry Haskins, Kevin Diers, Christian Diers, Cassandra Diers, Cole Diers, Evan Diers and Zoe Diers.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 2, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with Rev. Ruth Ragovin officiating. Burial will follow in the Murray City Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 1, 2012 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
