HENDERSON, KY (10/31/12) – The Henderson Police Department (HPD) responded to a motor vehicle accident with injuries on U.S. HWY 41 South near the 60 East on-ramp on Tuesday, October 30, at approximately 4 PM.
Once on the scene, HPD found that Alita Hogge, 33, of Henderson, was attempting to merge onto HWY 41 South and failed to see Cherrylanne Clouse, 57, of Owensboro, who was stopped at the base of the ramp awaiting traffic clearance so she could merge onto HWY 41 as well.
Hogge struck the rear end of Clouse’ Vehicle, causing severe damage to both vehicles.
Hogge was transported to Methodist ER for apparent injuries sustained in the accident. Hogge was also charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of Alcohol/Drugs, 2nd Offense.
