BOWLING GREEN, KY - Norma L. Magers, 82 of Smiths Grove passed away Wednesday, October 31, 2012 at her residence. The Barren County native was a daughter of the late Carl Magers and Verda Bishop Magers and is preceded in death by her brothers, Fred, Wallace, James, Scott & Harry Magers and two dear friends, Dorothy Freeman & Doris Hannah. She was an elementary school teacher of 37 years, a member of Oak Forest Missionary Baptist Church and former member of Pima Street Baptist Church in Tucson, AZ. She was a Sunday School teacher, a faithful contributor to Christian Missionaries and other nonprofit organizations. She loved to travel and traveled extensively through the United States and abroad and was an avid picture taker, a member of Hays Homemakers Club and she loved corresponding with her family and friends.
Survivors include: sister-in-law, Betty Magers; nieces and nephews, Judy Keith Ken), Douglas Magers (Joanne), Kathy McChesney (Richard), Susan Erskine (Jim), Scott Magers (Shawn), Lori Coffman (Brad); several great nieces & nephews, great great nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Smiths Grove chapel with burial in Hays Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00-8:00 p.m. Friday and 9:00-11:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations to Oak Forest Missionary Baptist Church,
