BOWLING GREEN, KY - Joseph Frank Weatherbee, 83, passed away Friday November 2, 2012 at his residence.
The Boston, MA native was born December 29, 1928 and was the son of late Joseph Frank Weatherbee and Muriel Fenlason Weatherbee and was the brother of late Phyllis Nelson and Jean Weatherbee.
Frank was a retired artist and a professional dancer, member of Camp Verde Baptist Church in Camp Verde, AZ. He was a veteran of U. S. Air Force and a U.S. Air Force Combat Photographer, served in Korea War. After coming out of Korea he became an ordained minister, then went to Arizona and worked with the Navajo and Apache Indians. His art work is know throughout the world and can be seen in Kolb Studio in Grand Canyon, AZ and in the Presidential Library of President Jimmy Carter.
Survivors include his wife of fifty-one years Gladys Rehnke Weatherbee, two sons David Weatherbee (Karen) of Long Island, NY, John Weatherbee (Lisa) of Bowling Green, KY and three grandsons Justin, Ryan and Colin Weatherbee.
Frank chose cremation and there will be a memorial service at a later date.
Arrangements are entrusted to J. C. Kirby and Son Lovers Lane Chapel.
