WC All-County Girls Basketball Teams Continue Strong Play

The seventh grade squad posted two easy victories to push their record to 10-5.

Webster County 29 (7th)
Union County     9

The hot shooting of Ashley Henry and good pressure defense was too much for Union County to handle last Thursday in WKAC action. Henry led all scorers with 15 points while Kaylee Duncan finished with seven points and Hallie Gibson five. Emily Johnson completed the scoring with four points.

Webster County 33 (8th)
Union County     48

The Lady Trojans suffered their first WKAC loss last Thursday at the hands of a strong Union County squad. The young Bravettes led from start to finish and claimed top spot in WKAC standings.

Kercey Hayes scored 13 points to lead the Lady Trojans while Hannah Pritchett added five points. Maddie Duncan, Brittany Pabey and Amber Short finished with four points each while Brittany Smith pitched-in three points.

Caldwell County   15

Webster continued its balanced scoring with another easy win last Tuesday in Princeton. Kaylee Duncan led the charge with 10 points while Emily Johnson and Hallie Gibson tossed in eight points each. Gabby Major finished with five points while Ashley Henry and Hannah Shanks scored four points apiece. Heather Kelsey completed the victory with two points.

Caldwell County  31

Hannah Pritchett scored 10 points to lead the eighth grade Lady Trojans to their 11th win of the season in Tuesday’s nightcap. Amber Short added eight points while Brittany Pabey pitched-in five points. Cassidy Thomas and Brittany Smith finished with four points each, followed by three points from Kercey Hayes and one point from Jayla Woolfolk.
