HOPKINS COUNTY, KY—In honor of Kentucky entrepreneurs and small business owners, The Kentucky Commission on Small Business Advocacy and Partners for Entrepreneurial Advancement in Kentucky (PEAK) are currently taking submissions for a specialty small business license plate design.

According to PEAK’s official website, “We are looking for a unique license plate design/slogan that creatively conveys the importance of small business and entrepreneurship in Kentucky.  Can you help us share that message?”

Perhaps the most important rule in the competition is that applications must be submitted by eligible small businesses. However, Kentucky residents not affiliated with a small business can also participate in the design competition by simply getting an eligible small business to sponsor and/or submit their entry.

To be considered eligible, your business must be Kentucky-based with fifty or fewer employees and must have at least one employee that is a Kentucky resident.  In addition, employees and family members of the individuals serving on the boards of the Commission on Small Business Advocacy or Partners for Entrepreneurial Advancement in Kentucky are ineligible.  Employees of the Commonwealth of Kentucky are also ineligible.

The deadline for receipt of entries is Wednesday, November 10, 2010.

“While there are no monetary rewards associated with this competition,” states PEAK’s website, “the winner will receive special recognition and acknowledgement of their significant contributions to promote small business development in Kentucky!”

To download a submission form, review further specifications and criteria for the design submissions, and for further information on PEAK and this particular competition, please visit the official license plate competition page at http://peakky.org/licenseplate.aspx.
