Though unfounded speculations over what may or may not have been the reason for the loss of Powers has been brought up in several parts of our community over the last month, Coroner Dennis Mayfield has stated that toxicology results weren’t helpful in recognizing a cause of death.
In addition, Mayfield has listed the cause as “undetermined” and cited that there were no signs of foul play.
Mayfield has also stated that one of the main hurdles standing in the way of understanding what happened to Powers stems from the condition of her remains.
Jodi Powers was found on the morning of September 25th, yet as Mayfield has explained, Powers most likely passed away on August 30th (the day she first went missing).
As the investigation is still underway by local law enforcement, iSurf News will bring you more updates on this case as they arise.
