HOPKINS COUNTY, KY—At approximately 6:47pm yesterday evening, November 12th, Kentucky State Police were called to the scene of an accident involving two vehicles and a trailer
According to the KSP report, a 1983 Chevrolet S10 driven by Shaun Seibert of Indiana, which carried two passengers—Joseph Pasco, 16, and Jerry Pasco III, 20—and a trailer, was struck by a 2007 Nissan Murano driven by Amy Teague, 31, of Greenville, KY. The incident occurred near the 27 mile marker on the Western Kentucky Parkway.
As the summary of the incident explains, Mr. Seibert was traveling eastbound on the West Kentucky Parkway in the right lane of travel. At this time, Ms. Teague was traveling behind Mr. Seibert in the right lane as well. Mr. Seibert was towing another vehicle on a trailer, yet, according to the report, the trailer was not equipped with lights or brakes.
Ms. Teague explained to members of the KSP that she approached Mr. Seibert’s vehicle, but did not notice the trailer. Without knowing the trailer was there, the front bumper of Ms. Teague’s vehicle collided with the rear bumper of Mr. Seibert’s vehicle as she got closer. As a result, the trailer dislodged from Mr. Seibert’s vehicle upon impact and came to rest in the median. Mr. Seibert’s vehicle then proceeded to strike an adjacent guardrail and came to a final stop on the shoulder of the parkway.
Though the severity of the injuries resulting from the incident are not known as of this time, one of Mr. Seibert’s passengers, Jerry Pasco, was transported to the Regional Medical Center by the Med Center EMS.
