arrest handcuffs words1 300PRINCETON, Ky. (11/7/17) — After receiving complaints of possible drug activity at a Varmint Trace, Princeton residence, an investigation resulted in the arrest of two men and a woman on three separate instances.

Pennyrile Narcotics Task Force detectives along with Princeton Police Department began the investigation Oct. 16. Police say detectives conducted two successful, controlled drug buys from the residence. After the second drug buy, detectives conducted a “knock and talk’ investigation and charged 58-year-old Randall Whitworth of 919 Varmit Trace with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance/meth, trafficking in marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

After receiving more drug trafficking complaints about the same residence, detectives attempted another controlled buy Oct. 31, however, police said it was unsuccessful becausea Tyler Long, 22, attempted to steal the money. Long was charged with tampering with physical evidence, theft by unlawful taking or disposition less than $500 and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Complaints continued to come in about the same location and police again used a confidential informant to make a successful, controlled buy Nov. 6. Police charged Jamie Whitworth, 28, with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance/meth, first-degree possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
