city of henderson 1HENDERSON, Ky. – The city of Henderson reported it has changed the third-party vendor that handles online and automated phone service payments, which will result in cost-savings for those customers who prefer that method of payment.

The online service will be provided by Value Payment Systems.

The vendor accepts payments for utility bills, property tax bills, invoice payments and parking tickets as well as other miscellaneous fees. The vendor accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express and electronic checks.

Convenience fees charged for online or automated phone service utility fees are: debit card, $1.95; credit card, $2.95; commercial/international credit card, $4.95; and electronic check, $1.

Convenience fees charged for online or automated phone service tax/non-tax fees are: debit card, 1 percent; credit card, 2.5 percent; electronic check, $1.

The previous fee for utility bill payments was a $4.95 flat rate, and the fee for property tax bills was 2.65 percent for debit card, credit card and e-check.

The city of Henderson does not receive any part of the convenience fee, officials said.

The online payment page can be found at paylocalgov.com/cityofhendersonky. Customers should use the city’s entity code: 100199.
