Kyndle 11 30HENDERSON, Ky. (11/30/17) — Jacqueline Pitts, the director of communications for the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce and managing editor of its public policy news site, The Bottom Line, will speak at a Kyndle luncheon in Henderson Wednesday concerning the state chamber’s legislative goals for 2018.

Pitts will be filling in for Kentucky Chamber President and CEO Dave Adkisson, who had been scheduled to speak here but has been called to meet with legislators in Frankfort that day.

She will be discussing the Kentucky business community’s top legislative priorities, which include tax reform, pension reform, essential workforce skills and more.

Pitts has served as The Bottom Line’s managing editor for three years, providing regular updates on state government and legislative initiatives via email, the website kychamberbottomline.com and the Bottom Line KY app. In late October, she landed an exclusive interview with Kentucky Gov. Matt Bevin concerning state pension reform.

In February, Pitts was given the additional position of director of communications, with responsibility for the organization’s strategic communications planning.

For nearly three years before joining the Kentucky Chamber, she was the political producer for the daily political cable TV program cn|2 Pure Politics. After graduating from Western Kentucky University with a double major in broadcast journalism and political science, Pitts spent a summer interning for a weekly political show broadcast by the ABC affiliate in Nashville.

The Kyndle luncheon will begin 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in the Stagg Room at the Preston Arts Center on the Henderson Community College campus. The cost of the luncheon is $18 for Kyndle stakeholders and $23 for nonmembers.
