HENDERSON, KY - Alma Dean McAtee, age 82, of Henderson, KY, formerly of Smith Mills, KY, passed away at 2:40 PM, Wednesday, January 25, 2012, at Redbanks Nursing Home, Henderson, KY.

Mrs. McAtee was preceded in death by her husband Charles McAtee, her parents Luther F. and Elizabeth Irene Duncan Sr, her siblings Lynda Bradley, Daphne Sue Parish, Betty Lou Duncan, and Marlin Duncan, and one daughter-in-law Vickie McAtee.

She was a member of Belleview United Methodist Church, and was a homemaker. Mrs. McAtee was a member of Eastern Star, Smith Mills Volunteer Fire Department and Smith Mills Lions Club.

Survivors include: 2 Sons: Steve McAtee and wife Veronica Henderson, KY, Mike McAtee Smith Mills, KY; 1 Daughter: Pam Denton and husband John Smith Mills, KY; 1 Brother: Luther Duncan Jr. wife Dorothy Henderson, KY; 1 Sister: Juanita Harris and husband Bucky Vancouver, Canada; 3 Grandchildren: Charla McAtee, Dena Mattingly, Beth Ann Denton; 1 Great Grandson: Shane Mattingly; Nieces and Nephews.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 28, 2012 at Belleview United Methodist Church, 6160 HWY 136 West, Smith Mills, KY. Reverends Steve Hale and Don House will officiate. Entombment will be in Fairmont Mausoleum, Henderson, KY.

Friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00 PM on Friday at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home, Henderson, KY and from 10:00 AM until service time on Saturday at Belleview United Methodist Church, Smith Mills, KY.

Eastern Star services will be held at 7:00 PM, Friday evening at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home.
