HOPKINS COUNTY, KY (1/29/12)—Amidst local rivalries and a couple close calls, the Madisonville North-Hopkins Maroons and Lady Maroons basketball teams stood dominate across all courts this past week.

Along with big wins against the Hopkins County Central Storm and Lady Storm on Friday night (82-49 and 60-33), the Maroons also brought home a 70-64 win against Owensboro. Though the Lady Maroons also claimed victory over Owensboro, it was achieved by a mere point (40-39).

January 24th HCCHS vs. Dawson Springs (at Dawson)—Final Score: 50-38
January 24th MNHHS vs. Owensboro (away game)—Final Score: 70-64
