HOPKINS COUNTY , KY (1/31/12) – Fans were ecstatic and excited on Monday night as the South Hopkins middle school 7th grade boys basketball team defeated Webster County with a final score of 33 – 22.
 
This win will advance the team to the semifinals this week against James Madison Middle School in the conference tourney.
 
Chandler Crist led all scorers with 14 points and Caleb Wagoner had 13 points for South.
