HOPKINS COUNTY, KY (2/5/12)—This past week, January 30th through February 5th, area high school basketball teams posted a near perfect balance of wins and losses during the course of 14 games.
While the Madisonville North-Hopkins Maroons dominated Caldwell County on Friday night (78-40), the Henderson County Colonels pulled in a close win over MNHHS earlier in the week (48-56). The Lady Maroons also posted a big victory against Caldwell on Friday (52-24), but fell to Livingston Central and McLean County earlier in the week (36-54; 50-60).
In a similar turn of events, the Hopkins County Central Storm and the Lady Storm brought home two victories and four losses overall (divided equally). While the Dawson Springs Lady Panthers took a marginal loss during an area matchup with the Lady Storm (48-52, respectively), the men’s Panthers claimed victory over Community Christian and Christian Fellowship high schools.
