KY Cold Case—Homicide Victim, James Perkins

 

kycoldcase01KENTUCKY (1/31/12)—The Kentucky State Police (KSP) investigates criminal activity across the entire Commonwealth of Kentucky, and, in many instances, the information provided by individual citizens allows law enforcement officials to make important breakthroughs in difficult cases.

With this in mind, members of the KSP Post 3 in Bowling Green, KY are requesting help from the public in resolving the murder of western Kentucky resident, James Perkins.

According to eyewitness accounts compiled by the KSP, James Perkins was last seen leaving a party of his personal friends in early November, 2002.

While Perkins reached his residence that evening, friends discovered that he had been murdered after locating his body within the home the following day.

Evidence collected by the KSP and medical examiners revealed that Perkins died of blunt force trauma sustained during a beating. The murder took place on November 8th, 2002
