Red Kettle DriveHOPKINS COUNTY, Ky. (11/9/17) — Major Mike Good of the Madisonville Salvation Army is seeking Red Kettle volunteers in Hopkins and Muhlenberg counties.

“Our goal this year is $100,000,” Good said. “We are looking for groups, individuals, businesses and churches to stand two to four hours through December.”

The Kettle Drive is comprised of 10 locations each in Madisonville and around Muhlenberg County shopping locations.

Good said more volunteers result in lower payroll expenditures that would allow more services to be provided to families and children through the Christmas season and the entire year. He indicated needs have grown this year.

The Christian-based nonprofit provides social services year around including its soup kitchen, clothing, food and basic needs for residents in Hopkins and Muhlenberg counties.

Groups or individuals interested in being a bell-ringer volunteer this Christmas season, call Salvation Army Red Kettle Drive Volunteer Coordinator Cassy Holmes at (270) 825-3620 Monday-Friday 8:30-4:30 p.m.
