sheriff logoHOPKINS COUNTY, Ky. (11/13/17) — A driver and her passenger were injured after the vehicle they were traveling in was struck by a tractor-trailer this afternoon along Interstate 69.

According to Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the 104-mile marker at 1:38 p.m., finding that a 2014 freightliner driven by Ferocious L. Parker of Philadelphia, Mississippi was making a U-turn from the southbound lanes onto the north lanes.

In his attempt to turn, his rig struck a 2012 Toyota Camry driven by Carolynn A. Wynn of Princeton, Deputy Steve Bryan reported.

Wynn and her passenger were taken by Medical Center Ambulance to Baptist Health Madisonville for treatment.

Kentucky State Police Commercial Vehicle Enforcement, Nortonville and South Hopkins volunteer fire departments assisted.
