4310709HANSON, KY., — Deborah 'Debie' Sue Lewis Jones, age 63, of Hanson, KY, passed peacefully and gracefully at home on July 21, 2017 in the arms of her loving family.

Debie devoted her life to taking care of everyone around her. Starting at age 12, she stepped in to help raise her younger sister and went on to be the definition of the perfect wife and homemaker to Donnie. Then, after 5 years of struggling to have a child, they were eventually blessed with 2 beautiful girls whom she adored and poured every ounce of her heart and soul into raising with Donnie. Her pride and joy was her husband, daughters, loving grandchildren and Sophie. Nothing made Debie happier than spending time with her family, tending to her flower beds, shopping for and ordering little gifts and “gadgets” for everyone, on sale with free shipping of course!

She was preceded in death by her Father, Eldo Lewis and brothers Mike, Don and Larry Lewis.

Debie was dearly loved by her husband of 45 years Donnie T. Jones, her daughters and their spouses Leigh (Jones) and Willy Carter of Manitou, KY and Jamie (Jones) and Jay Duncan of Franklin, TN, her adoring grandchildren Kelsey Duncan, Austin Rhye, Cody Gray and Bentley Carter, her mother Eva Lewis of Hanson, sister Jane Priest of Hanson, brother Gary Lewis (Sue) of Flora, IL, her beloved Yorkie Sophie, mother and father in law CT and Joyce Jones, sister in law Debbie (Jones) Roden, brother in law Tim Jones all of Madisonville, KY and numerous nieces and nephews and friends who will miss her and her big contagious smile dearly.

The funeral service will be held at 1pm on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Bro. Gary Taylor officiating. Burial to follow at Olive Branch Cemetery in Hanson.

Visitation will be from 11am until the funeral hour Tuesday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Tim Jones, Willy Carter, Jay Duncan, Leigh Carter, Austin Rhye and Cody Gray.
