Betty Sue White Hill

PROVIDENCE, KY - Betty Sue White Hill was born February 15, 1941 in Earlington, Kentucky to the union of Eula Mae and the late Sam T. White and adopted by the late John W. Holloman after the death of Mr. White.

She was called from labor to reward on February 2, 2012.

Betty professed Christ at an early age and became a member of Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church. She also served in her early years participating at the Presbyterian Church . She was a light shining bright in the community. She enjoyed cross-stitch, bowling, soft ball and driving the Providence School Bus.

Betty ventured out in the community with the Hill Toppers Step Team, Betty's Walk-In, the Barbeque Shack and a special creation of Providence T-shirts. Betty was awarded the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonel by the Commonwealth of Kentucky and was recognized by the Webster County NAACP as an unsung hero in appreciation for community service and was recognized by the Women's Relief Corps and Court of Justice for community service.

Her legacy will live forever in all the many lives she touched.

She leaves to cherish her memory loving and devoted daughters; Tonya L. Coleman (CSM Arthur L.Coleman) of Ft. Hood, TX, LaShawn E. Woolfolk and Patricia M. Darnes of Providence, devoted mother Eula M. Holloman of Providence, brother Edward White (Jeanette) of Indianapolis, sister Lelia M. Gray (Erwin) of Huntsville, AL, grandchildren LaToya C. Woolfolk, LaTosha N. Woolfork , Michael Woolfork Jr., Victoria L. Coleman, Jonathan P. Darnes, Elizabeth L. Coleman, Ericka Darnes and Natalee Darnes; Great Grandchildren George Deion Woolfolk, Jala Woolfolk, Cadence, DeShawn and Michael Woolfork III. Two aunts, Ruby Leavell of Madisonville and Mary Jane of Evansville, her in laws Bruce Hill and Mary Hill and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.

She was preceded in death by her father Sam T. White, her dad John W. Holloman a sister, Flora Louise Randolph and her husband James E. Hill.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, Feb. 6 at 1 PM at Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Providence with Rev. James Brasher and Rev. William House officiating. Interment will be in Williams Lawn Cemetery. Visitation is on Sunday from 4 to 6 PM at Jones & Erdman in Providence and from 10 AM to service time at the church on Monday.
