NORTONVILLE, KY - Floyd Wilson, Jr., 73 of Nortonville, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2012, at Regional Medical Center in Madisonville.
He was born in 1938 in Caldwell Co. to the late Floyd and Bertha (Hyde) Wilson. He served in the USAF and retired from the Federal government after 29 years as a computer systems programmer-analyst. He was of Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Earl Wilson, and a sister, Francis Merrick.
Survivors include his wife, Patty Tyson Wilson; two brothers, Robert Wilson and Kenneth Wilson; and five sisters, Elizabeth Swatzell, Virginia Gilbertson, Martha Goodaker, Joan Lowery, and Linda Moore.
Funeral services are at 11:00 a.m. Friday at Bandy Funeral Home in Nortonville with Rev. Steve Rutherford officiating, assisted by Rev. Dewayne Sowell.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday and after 9 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery with the Hopkins Co. Honor Guard performing military rites.
