New District Assessment Coordinator for CCPS

AMY RAMAGEHOPKINSVILLE, KY (2/6/12) – Amy Ramage is the newly selected District Assessment Coordinator for Christian County Public Schools. She began her new duties on February 1. Ramage was chosen to fill the vacancy left with the retirement of Paula Yoakum on January 31.

Ramage has worked in public education for 14 years. Most recently, she lived and worked in Madison County, Kentucky. While there, she worked as the DAC for Madison County Public Schools for two years. That school system is slightly larger than Christian County with over 11,000 students and 19 schools.

The District Assessment Coordinator is responsible to coordinate and facilitate the implementation of the Kentucky Student Assessment Program, School Accountability Program and all other district wide assessments. The DAC serves as the primary contact between the local school district and the entire Kentucky Student Assessment Program and Accountability Program.

Ramage is a rank 1 certified educator who attended Murray State University. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Education in 1998 and her Master’s in Education in 2001. She began her career working in Webster County as a high school English teacher. She has also held positions as an Assistant Principal, Instructional Supervisor and a Highly Skilled Educator.

Superintendent Brady Link says, “With her experience in public education, I am confident in her abilities and look forward to her beginning in the position.”
