CHRISTIAN COUNTY, KY (2/6/12) – On Sunday, February 5, 2012 at approximately 12:44 p.m., KSP Detective Lloyd Ray charged 47-year-old Gene R. Cotton of Mannington, KY with 1 count of Rape 1st Degree and 2 counts of Sexual Abuse 1st Degree.
The investigation was initiated on February 5, 2012. The victim reported that she had been forced to have sexual intercourse and had been touched inappropriately by the accused.
Mr. Cotton was arrested and lodged in the Christian County Jail. He was charged with 1 count of Rape 1st Degree (Class B Felony) and 2 counts of Sexual Abuse 1st Degree (Class D Felony).
