HOPKINSVILLE, KY (2/8/12) – A Crofton man has reported to authorities the theft of several items including a 9MM Luger pistol. Rufus Bowman, Jr. told Christian County Sheriff’s Deputies that the incident occurred sometime between the 4th and 6th of February.
Bowman stated he was out of town from Saturday through Monday afternoon. When he returned home, he says the front door was locked and nothing appeared out of place. Upon entering his bedroom he discovered that his pistol was missing.
According to the report, Bowman then started looking around and found other items missing including a can of quarters and a tool box of small sockets. The total estimated value of stolen items is more than $2,000.
The report states that the front door had apparently been forced open with little damage done to the door. At this time, it is unknown who took the property and no suspects have been identified. Anyone with information on this crime is encouraged to contact the Christian County Sheriff’s Department.
