Owensboro Resident Injured in Christian County Deer Accident

vehicle deer accident 300CHRISTIAN COUNTY, KY (11/14/11) – On Monday, Feb. 14, at approximately 8:03 AM, Kentucky State Police (KSP) Trooper William Manzanares was dispatched to the scene of an accident involving one vehicle and a deer.
 
Once on the scene, Manzanares found that 44-year-old April LaRoche of Owensboro had been traveling Southbound on Breathitt Pennyrile Parkway in 1999 Ford Explorer when a deer ran into the roadway. LaRoche swerved and managed to avoid the deer, but over-corrected. The vehicle overturned numerous times before finally coming to a stop in the median of the road.
 
Laroche, as well as her passenger, 20-year-old James LaRoche, was transported to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment of injuries sustained in the accident.
 
Christian County EMS assisted KSP on the scene.
