Betty Hansen, age 82

 

HOPKINSVILLE, KY - Betty Hansen, age 82, passed away at 12:23 PM Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at Covington’s Convalescent Center of natural causes.

Mrs. Hansen was born August 19, 1929, in Jane, MO, the daughter of the late Raymond Rudolph and Ida Mae Oswald Smith. She was a homemaker and a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints of Hopkinsville.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Wallace Hansen; a son, John Wesley Hansen; a daughter, Christina Marie Hansen; a brother, Charles Leo Smith; and two sisters, Delma Karlene Brazil, and Opal Jean Hewitt.

Survivors include her sons, James Wallace Hansen Jr. of Rainier, WA, Carl Michael Hansen of Oroville, CA, and Howard Nelson Hansen of Chico, CA; her daughters, Terri Guasp of Hopkinsville, KY, and Patricia Lea Hansen Alving of Utah; her sister, Dorothy Mae Dalsing of Edwardsville, KS; and eight grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, January 28, 2012, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints with Bishop Nathan Craig officiating. Burial will follow in Haley’s Mill Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2012, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints from 9:00 AM until time of services at 10:00AM Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
