WESTERN KENTUCKY (2/3/12) – New Beginnings with Gayla – Exhausted Before the Lord
First, before I go into my article, I would like to dedicate my column to my deceased grandmother, Minnie Baker. I am forever indebted to her. She had this gift of writing and, if given the opportunity, she would have been an amazing writer that would have touched the world through her words.
Today I’d like to share with you an awesome quote that I came across:
“When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left, and could say, “I used everything you gave me.”
Wow! What meaning behind this! If only we all were to live this quote!
What would our world look life if we all were to share our gifts and talents? What kind of reality would we create if we could comprehend this state that our world is in is actually the reality that we have created? What would it feel like to live from our higher self – from Spirit? We are not here to just take up space; just to live, eat, sleep, work and then die!
God has created life in us for this time for a particular reason. We all have talents and wisdom to share with the world. These talents and gifts were not created in us to just waste away! We did not experience things in life just to say “oh well” to. What would the world look like if we were to use our experiences to help others in the same position that we once were in; to truly turn our “mess” into a “message”. What if we all were to heal any and all shame and guilt in our life with God’s help? Then, we could rise above the lies that we are worthless or no good and become the man or woman that we were created to be. There have been people in human history who have done just that and what an amazing contribution to mankind they have made!
Sometimes there is so much junk in our lives that it seems so hard to rise up and be the person we were created to be. There is so much material and help out there for people struggling with issues of life. All we have to do is to seek it and then take it. Remember we always have help from our Heavenly Father. Above all He wants us to rise above and become a man or woman of God – created in His image.
Then at the end of our life when we stand before God, we can be happy to tell the Lord that the talents, gifts and life experiences bestowed upon us was not in vain. But indeed I left my world different than what is was when I arrived.
My challenge to you this week is to ponder this in your heart and if you feel led to (and I hope you do), start living each day as it truly is; a new beginning to the rest of your life.
Wishing you much hope and love!
Gayla
