FRANKFORT, KY (1/29/12) – One would have to ask him/herself, what does the Governor of the state of Kentucky have in common with a Penguin? One would, in turn, expect an answer that was a joke, but not in this case. Governor Beshear actually met up with a penguin recently.
Newport Aquarium’s Paula the Penguin gets a scratch on the back from Kentucky Governor Steve Beshear while Rick Urban with the Newport Aquarium holds Paula.
Rep. Addia Wuchner, R-Florence sponsored House Resolution 95 which honored the Newport Aquarium and its employees, including Boone County’s Urban, for the economic impact the privately owned aquarium has on Kentucky.
