9684155 300x300 1Central City, KY., — Jimmie Dale Avery, 65, of Nelson Creek passed away Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at 5:38pm at his home. Mr. Avery was born May 12, 1952 in Muhlenberg County. He was a machinist at Piper Saw Shop, and a member of Nelson Creek Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his son Jerry Dale Avery, parents Joe Edison and Zella Piper Avery, sisters Ollie Mosby and Jonell Hamby, and brothers William "Bill" Avery and Lloyd Avery.

He is survived by his wife Norma Waddell Avery, daughters Amy (Glenn) McElvain and Jo Nell Avery both of Nelson Creek, grandchildren Hunter Dale Avery, Katie McElvain, Kasey McElvain, Alyssa Coursey, and Austin Coursey, brothers Joe Avery Jr., Bobby Avery, Larry Avery, Donnie Avery, Richard Avery, and Charlie Avery, and sisters Margaret Rector, Barbara Segers, and Loretta Everett.

Funeral services will be Saturday, November 18, 2017 at 1pm at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City with Rev. Donnie Wilkins officiating. Burial in Nelson Creek Cemetery.

Visitation will be Friday after 5pm at the funeral home.
