9753126 150x150 1POWDERLY, KY., — Kelly Annette (Smith-Donovan) Pennington, 54, of Powderly, passed away Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at 7:40PM at her home. Mrs. Pennington was born March 28, 1963 in Daviess County. She was a graduate of Daviess County High School. She also graduated from Western Kentucky University with a Master’s Degree Summa Cum Laude. She was a psychologist and was employed at Kentucky Department of Corrections/Green River Correctional Facility. She was the former director of the Pennyroyal Center. She was a member of Temple Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents Glen and Anna Bruington, and Mae E. Smith.

She is survived by her husband Larry (Bill McClane) (93.9FM) Pennington of Powderly, sons Jackson Donovan of Powderly and Michael Donovan of Central City, step-son Joshua (Christi) Pennington of Louisville, parents Alice and Jerry Smith of Owensboro, brother Kenneth Smith (Ellen Hanson) of Mt. Prospect, IL, special aunt and uncle Donnie and Martha Alexander of Owensboro, and granddaughter Rylee Pennington of Louisville.

The family would like to thank Baptist Health Hospital Health and Hospice Team.

Funeral services will be Saturday, December 2, 2017, at 12noon at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City with Robert Risner officiating. Burial in Pennington Cemetery.

Visitation will be Friday after 5pm at the funeral home.
