GREENVILLE, KY - Arthur Austin Groves, Jr., 82, of Greenville, passed away Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at 7:30PM at his home.

Mr. Groves was born May 6, 1929 in Muhlenberg County. He was retired from Green River Steel in Owensboro after 33 years. He was a member of Freedom General Baptist Church. He was a member of the Central City Masonic Lodge and a 1950 graduate of Graham High School.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Jo Faulk Groves; children David (Pamela) Groves, Anthony (Diana) Groves, Dale Groves, Timothy (Thea) Groves, Pamela Underwood, and Amy Groves; mother Anna Mae Groves; brothers Billie Ray (Mary Alice) Groves and James (Carol) Groves; sisters Nellie Jane Beasley and Linda Carol (Clyde) Piper; 12 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Saturday, February 18, 2012 at 11:00AM at Freedom Baptist Church, with Rev. Terry Groves officiating, assisted by Rev. Tony Blake. Burial in Freedom Baptist Cemetery in Depoy. Visitation will be Friday after 5:00PM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City. Mr. Groves will lie in state Saturday morning after 9:00AM at the church.
