FREDONIA, Ky. (4/2/13) – The Kentucky State Police (KSP) investigated a single-vehicle, injury collision that occurred on KY 70, approximately one mile east of Fredonia, on Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at 11:05 a.m.
The preliminary investigation revealed that Anna Beabout, 71 of Kuttawa, KY, was operating a 2003 Buick Century eastbound on KY 70 when she was distracted by a vehicle approaching her from behind. Ms. Beabout’s vehicle exited the right side of the roadway and struck several trees. Her vehicle came to rest off of the roadway.
Ms. Beabout, who was wearing a seatbelt, was transported via ambulance to the Caldwell Medical Center for treatment. There were no passengers.
Trooper First Class Chris King investigated the collision. Trooper First Class Darron Holliman, Trooper Ben Sawyer, the Fredonia Volunteer Fire Department, Princeton Fire & Rescue, and Caldwell County EMS assisted at the scene.
