According to Officer Brown, Bush failed to signal a turn onto Anna Street, and the officer initiated a traffic stop on North Anna Street. At that point, Bush ran into the woods and into a field south of Shelby Street. He was apprehended without incident by KSP Trooper Nathan Clinkenbeard and TCSO Deputy Mark Nichols at Little River, approximately one-half mile from his vehicle.

The Cadiz Police Department were also assisted by two residents who observed the subject run into the woods and helped locate the subject in the field.
