PADUCAH, Ky. (3/21/13) – On March 21, 2013, at approximately 11:03 PM, McCracken County Sheriff’s Deputies received a call of a female subject that had broken into a residence in the 2200 block of Lovelaceville Florence Station Road East.
Upon Deputies arrival, Deputies located Kelly A. Christian, 33 years of age, from Paducah, inside of a resident’s home in the corner of the dining room. Ms. Christian was found to be highly under the influence of several illegal drugs which she had injected. Ms. Christian was also found to be in possession of two different prescription drugs during the investigation. Mercy Regional EMS was called and Ms. Christian was transported to Lourdes Hospital for a possible overdose.
Further investigation revealed that after Ms. Christian had taken the illegal drugs, she drove her vehicle to a random address on Lovelaceville Florence Station Road East and parked in a driveway. Christian then began running through the woods, stating that someone was chasing her, until she came to the victims residence. Once at the residence she took a brick and broke a large French door window and entered the home. The homeowners, who were in the room that Ms. Christian had broken into, ran to a separate part of the residence where Ms. Christian followed until she stopped in the dining room. The homeowners then called the Sheriff’s Department for assistance and held Ms. Christian at gunpoint until Deputies could arrive. During this time Ms. Christian continued to making statements to the residents which did not make any sense.
Ms. Christian was treated at Lourdes Hospital and upon her release she was placed under arrest for multiple charges and lodged in the McCracken County Jail.
