GRAHAM, Ky. (7/21/14) ― Five people went to the hospital after a two-vehicle collision Sunday, July 20 in Graham.
According to a Kentucky State Police report, Robert Davis, 26, Beechmont, was driving a 2012 Dodge Charger north on Kentucky 175 at about 10:55 a.m. while Daniel McCay, 39, Louisville, was driving a 1994 Chevrolet S 10 pickup west on Graham Cypress Road.
When McCay attempted to turn onto Kentucky 175 to head south, he failed to yield the right of way to Davis, and the two vehicles collided. McCay's vehicle came to rest in the southbound lane while Davis' vehicle exited the right side of the road and came to rest down an embankment, the report said.
McCay, Davis and his wife, Sharley Davis, 34, along with her children, River Woodruff, 4, and Maggie Woodruff, 9, were all transported by ambulance to Muhlenberg Community Hospital for treatment. All were wearing seat belts, the report said.
Trooper Jerry Knight investigated the collision. Trooper Craig Engler, the Graham Volunteer Fire Department and Muhlenberg County EMS assisted at the scene.
