MUHLENBERG COUNTY, Ky. (8/8/14) — The Muhlenberg High School Marching Mustangs are ready to tune up and take to the field for the 2014-2015 school year.
The Mustangs have just completed their first field rehearsal of the season, with more practices on the way next week. Practices will be held from 4 to 6:30 p.m. each night Aug. 11, 12 and 14, and a morning practice Saturday, Aug. 16.
The Marching Mustang Boosters' will hold their annual ice cream supper on the night of Aug. 16 at MCHS.
Aug. 18, 19 and 21 rehearsals will be held from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. each night.
The Mustang Marching Classic will be held Saturday, Aug. 23 at MCHS.
More full band rehearsals will be held from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. daily Aug. 25, 26 and 28.
The Mustangs will get off to a busy first day of competition Sept. 9 with performances at Butler County High School in the afternoon, then travel to the Ohio County High School Band competition on the evening of Sept. 9.
There is one major event early in the season with the Bands of America Championship regional competition. The band will depart for Dayton, Ohio's Welcome Stadium Sept. 26, with the event held Sept. 27.
The first Marching Mustangs' band booster meeting of the season will be held at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 1 at MCHS
