Theatre Workshop Performs For Area Schools

theater work oboroOWENSBORO, KY (03/21/2013) – Today the Theatre Workshop of Owensboro (TWO) performed its latest play, “The Crucible,” for several area high schools. Opening to a full house, the cast and crew delivered one of the finest offerings the community theatre has performed in its week long run of this classic piece.

“The Crucible’s” director, Lara Early, is a professor of Theatre at Kentucky Wesleyan College. Early told SurfKY she has enjoyed the experience.

“It has been incredible working with Theatre Workshop. The staff is wonderful, and it is always great to work with people who are passionate about theatre,” Early said.

Elizabeth Parthum, production manager for Theatre workshop of Owensboro, said “working with director Laura Early as a new TWO director has been a real treat. Having her, set designer Jennifer Ivey, and a mix of veteran and new actors has proved to create a successful collaborative product.”

This was the last daytime show TWO will perform for area schools this season. TWO usually does between three and five productions for area schools each year.
