PADUCAH, Ky. (3/14/13) – Nineteen Paducah Swim Team members have qualified for the Kentucky Swimming Short Course Championships. Swimmers ages 12 and under will compete the weekend of March 15 in Lexington. Swimmers ages 13 and above will compete the weekend of March 22 in Louisville.

"I am pleased with the progress the team has made this season,” states PST head coach Jason Cravens. “This meet will be a measuring stick for us each year as we go head to head with the best year-round clubs in the state of Kentucky. We have qualified more swimmers than last year and we are looking to improve upon our 21st place team finish in the combined standings."
 
Swimming in the 13 and over State Championships are: Bradley Baker (Heath High School), Justin Baker (Heath Middle School), Katherine Culbertson (St. Mary High School), Milan Doan (Lone Oak High School), Tyler Fell (Lone Oak Middle School), Ian Pitt (Heath Middle School), Jack Pitt (Heath High School), Carson Price (Lone Oak High School), Kelsey Stevens (Lone Oak High School), Taylor Thompson (Paducah Tilghman High School)
 
Swimming in the 12 and under State Championships are John Carter Chappell (Benton Elementary School), Bella Haus (Sharpe Elementary School), Amy Jarvis (Central Elementary School), Sam Kirchhoff (Clark Elementary School), Ben LeBuhn (Clark Elementary School), Kate LeBuhn (Clark Elementary School) and Connor Wright (Concord Elementary School).
 
Paducah Swim Team is a year-round competitive swimming organization that has been developing outstanding community members in Paducah and the surrounding area for more than fifty years. PST accepts new members on an ongoing basis. Information can be found at paducahswimteam.com.
