grad-2014VERSAILLES, Ky. (5/6/14) — The Kentucky Community and Technical College System will honor more than 7,500 candidates, receiving more than 10,000 credentials, for graduation this spring in 16 college ceremonies across the state.

In addition to the spring graduates, many KCTCS college commencement exercises will also recognize students who have graduated since the May 2013 commencement.

A list of upcoming college ceremonies including time, place and commencement speakers follows.

2014 Commencement Ceremonies:

Ashland Community and Technical College
Friday, May 9; 7:30 p.m.
Paramount Arts Center, 1300 Winchester Ave., Ashland
Commencement speaker: Dr. Henderson Dwayne McGinnis, ACTC alumnus
Graduating student speaker: Logan J. Evans
The ceremony is free and open to the public.

Big Sandy Community and Technical College
Friday, May 9; 7 p.m. and Saturday May 10 (nursing and dental hygiene); 10 a.m.
Mountain Arts Center, 50 Hal Rogers Dr., Prestonsburg

Bluegrass Community and Technical College
Saturday, May 10; 5 p.m.
Frankfort Convention Center, 405 Mero Street, Frankfort
Commencement speaker: KCTCS President Michael B. McCall
The ceremony is open to the public. Tickets are not required.

Elizabethtown Community and Technical College
Monday, May 12; 7 p.m.
Central Hardin High School, 3040 Leitchfield Road, Elizabethtown
Commencement speaker: Tamera Caldwell (’85 ECTC graduate), director of Workforce Strategies, UPS

Gateway Community and Technical College

Hazard Community and Technical College

Hopkinsville Community College

Jefferson Community and Technical College
Tuesday, May 13; 6:30 p.m.
Kentucky International Convention Center, Hall 2C, Louisville
Jefferson Award honoree: Amelia Blossom Pegram
Super Sunday Hall of Fame nominee: Verna Dorsey

Madisonville Community College
Friday, May 9; 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
