FRANKFORT, KY (2/7/12) – The Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) announced that Joslyn Olinger Glover has been appointed as executive director for administrative services. She has been with the Justice and Public Safety Cabinet since 2006, when she joined the office of legal services as an attorney.
Prior to working for the cabinet, she began her legal career as the chief law clerk for former Chief Justice Joseph E. Lambert of the Kentucky Supreme Court.
“Joslyn has done tremendous work in legal services. Her experience with the department makes her the ideal choice for this role,” said DJJ Acting Commissioner Hasan Davis. “She brings a wealth of knowledge to this new challenge and I am confident she will bring energy and commitment to the position.”
She will oversee the fiscal, information systems, construction and real properties and personnel branches.
“I am honored to have been appointed to this position and appreciate the opportunity,” Olinger Glover said. “With such a capable staff already in place, I am very excited about the chance to work with them.”
Olinger Glover spends a great deal of her “free” time serving on volunteer boards and participating with other civic organizations, such as Kiwanis Club, Richmond Human Rights Commission and the Kentucky River Foothills Development Council, Inc. She received a bachelor of science degree in economics from University of Louisville and her juris doctorate from University of Kentucky. Olinger Glovers’ appointment became effective Feb. 1, 2012.
