Over the next year, the new KCADD officers will lead Kentucky’s area development districts to aid local communities in the planned growth of their area. Officers will also serve as consultants for technical and management issues.
The 2012 KCADD officers are:

- 1st Vice Chairman Jody Jenkins, Union County Judge/Executive;
- 2nd Vice Chairman John Smith, Mayor of Albany (Clinton County);
- Secretary R. D. “Doc” Marshall, Floyd County Judge/Executive;

Jenkins, who currently serves as Chairman of the Green River Area Development District (GRADD) Board of Directors which assists Daviess, Hancock, Henderson, McLean, Ohio, Union and Webster Counties in western Kentucky, says he is “honored that my peers have entrusted me with the rewarding endeavor of advocating on behalf of the citizens of the Commonwealth.”
“We are extremely proud to have the leadership of Judge Jenkins this year – not only regionally as our GRADD Board chairman, but also statewide as our KCADD vice chairman,” said Jiten Shah, GRADD Executive Director.
The KCADD is comprised of 15 regional entities across the state. Each division is called an area development district and each district works with local elected officials to promote Kentucky’s quality of life. Some KCADD initiatives include elderly assistance, housing assistance, state infrastructure improvement, economic and workforce development, water and wastewater improvement practices, and programs that improve public health.
