State Parks Accepting Donations as Part of Giving Tuesday

KY State Parks 300FRANKFORT, KY (11/27/12) – Charities across the U.S. are taking part in “Giving Tuesday,” a day set aside during the holidays for nonprofit organizations to accept donations.

The Kentucky State Park Foundation is a nonprofit organization established in 2007 to support the Kentucky State Parks. It raises money that is used for state parks through grants for projects.

“This is just one way people who support the Kentucky State Parks can give to help continue our mission to promote the natural, historical and cultural resources of Kentucky's State Parks and Historic Sites,” Parks Commissioner Elaine Walker said. “It’s a gift that helps to protect our parks for future generations.”
