ASHLAND, KY (11/28/12) – On Tuesday November 13, 2012 The Kentucky State Police in Ashland received a complaint involving the solicitation of child pornography from the Smith County Sheriff's Department in Texas.
 
Keith Sammons, 26, of Greenup County, KY engaged in communications through the KIK chat application with a juvenile female he believed to be 14 years of age. During the course of their conversation Sammons solicited the juvenile to produce and send pornographic photographs to him. Sammons then produced a pornographic photograph of himself and sent them to the juvenile.
 
Sammons was arrested and lodged in the Greenup County Detention Center on the charges of Prohibited use of Electronic Communications System to Procure a Minor/Peace Officer for Sexual Performance (1 count).
 
The investigation is ongoing by Detective Christopher Carter Post 14 Internet Crimes Against Children Investigator.
