FRANKFORT, Ky. (2/13/13) – Bluegrass Cellular is now accepting applications for its annual scholarship program. The company will award 18 scholarships valued at $1,500 each to select graduating seniors who attend high school in its 40-county coverage area. The deadline to apply is Tuesday, April 30, 2013.
“We’re proud to be a part of the community we serve,” said Barry Nothstine, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Bluegrass Cellular. “And what better way to give back to our community than to invest in its future. Our annual scholarship program helps dedicated Kentuckiana students pursue the college education they’ve been working toward. It’s an honor to help make that happen.”
This is the 12th year Bluegrass Cellular has offered the program. Scholarship recipients are selected by a panel of judges based on criteria including financial need, academic achievement, and school and community involvement. Applicants must also submit a copy of their high school transcript, two letters of recommendation and a personal essay. Winners will be notified in May 2013.
