FRANKFORT, Ky. (3/18/13) – The Kentucky Labor Cabinet has entered into an association-based partnership with the Kentucky Association of Plumbing, Heating and Cooling Contractors (KAPHCC), a professional trade association with a membership of more than 800 members.
Labor Cabinet Secretary Mark Brown, said, “The Labor Cabinet is continually looking for partners to help us carry out the mission of protecting Kentucky’s workforce. We are thrilled with this commitment by this group of contractors and look forward to a long-term relationship.”
Under the agreement, association members can receive a company review by trained safety and health professionals in an effort to maintain a safe worksite. The Labor Cabinet’s Division of Education and Training also can offer training, on-site audits, education and act in an advisory role for policy development for the professional organization as well as its members.
The KAPHCC, with more than 800 contractor and industry members, provide education, resources, knowledge of upcoming laws, regulations and mandates, and provide employer and employee benefits.
