FRANKFORT, KY (1/6/12) – The following is a letter sent by the Muhlenberg Chamber of Commerce on behalf of State Representative Brent Yonts.
Rep. Yonts - On Monday night, January 9, 2012, on KET at 8 p.m. EST, 7 p.m. CDT, I will be speaking live for one hour on the issue of the Meth Blocker Bill. I will have with me, in all likelihood, a major from the Sheriff’s Department of Jefferson County.
The other side of the issue will likely be the proponent of the bill in the House, Representative Linda Belcher, who seeks to make all pseudoephedrine-containing products, such as Sudafed, prescriptive. This is one of the big issues facing the General Assembly this year.
My position is supported by the Pennyrile Narcotics Task Force, Sheriff Cain of Daviess County, Dr. Donald Neal of Daviess County, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department, the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department, and other law enforcement officers.
It should be an enlightening discussion of the issues. Please join us on KET.
Rep. Brent Yonts
